Robert’s Park was full of excited children and their families on Saturday evening for Fayette County Running Club’s Elementary School Cross Country Invitational. 218 runners ranging from preschool to sixth grade ran through the finish line at the event.

“This is the second largest race that we’ve had since the Fayette County Running Club started four years ago,” director Kelli House said. “There were only 64 runners at the fall race, so it was great to come back strong and have such a great turnout after the numbers were down.”
