Rex Stringham, 82, of Connersville, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at his home.

He was born on January 11, 1938, in Connersville, and is the son of the late Marion Stringham and Glatha Ballinger Stringham. After high school, he served with the Indiana National Guard.

He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. Rex had also been a member and past president of the Connersville Eagles and the Moose Lodge.

Rex had worked for many years at Merchandise Equipment Group in Cambridge City. When he was younger, he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was very active in the local AA and NA programs in the community, as well as helping with Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; a granddaughter, Jessica (Charles) Redin, of Texas; a grandson, Judson Cohee, of Texas, three great-grandchildren, Alexa and Casey Redin, and Isabelle Cohee; a sister, Connie (Leonard) Owens, of Greenwood, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Sue, to whom he was married for more than 40 years; his son, Rex Matthew Stringham; and a sister, Bonnie Grey.

A celebration of life for Rex will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at 6:00pm, at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville.
