Connersville Middle and High School will begin eLearning days on Wednesdays, from Sept. 30 through Oct. 21.

Fayette County School Corporation Superintendent Scott Collins stated in a letter to parents and staff Friday that “With the uncertainty we are facing as school districts with possible closures, we need to provide our staff and students more opportunities for electronic learning (eLearning). With out current 2020-21 FCSC District Calendar, we did not have any pre-planned eLearning days in our calendar. The decision to add a limited number of eLearning days prior to fall break will serve two purposes. The first is to give our staff time to plan and practice eLearning days with all students on two of the days (Sept. 30 and Oct. 21) and second is in response to our health department concern about the growing number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Fayette County. By scheduling some Wednesdays, in the middle of the week, we will have more time to clean and disinfect our buildings, especially CMS and CHS, where we face the greatest challenge with the number of students in different classrooms daily.”
