According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, milk is a common food allergy in children and can trigger asthma attacks.

Milk provides nutrients including protein, calcium and vitamin D and calcium. If you have an allergy to milk, you can choose meats, chicken, eggs, fish, nuts and legumes to help replace the protein found in milk and milk products.
