Elizabeth 'Liz' Corbin

Elizabeth “Liz” Corbin, 84, of Connersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday afternoon, February 10, 2018, at Premier Health of Connersville where she had been a patient for the past month.

She was born February 26, 1933, in Connersville, one of seven children of James Harvey and Fannie Allen Richmond.

On May 22, 1954, she was married to Joseph G. Corbin, and they made Connersville their home at that time.

For many years, Liz was employed at Design and Manufacturing in Connersville until it closed. Prior, she was employed at Sperry Rubber in Brookville. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Liz was a devoted homemaker.

She was a member of Living Waters Assembly of God and in her leisure time enjoyed painting, sewing, working on crafts, making her own Christmas cards, and spending time with her family. She also was an accomplished songwriter and performer.

Survivors include five children, Bonnie (Charlie) Alfred of Laurel, Indiana, Ron (Tina) Corbin of Laurel, Theresa Weston on Connersville, Linda (Jim) Wulff of Connersville, Deborah Hall (companion, Timothy Brock) of Connersville; thirteen grandchildren, Scott (Kim) Alfred, Melissa Ison, Lisa (Ryan) French, Christina Alfred, Ron Corbin, Jr., Kevin Sheplar, James A. Wulff, Randy (April) Wulff, Angie Corbin, Brian (Tyla) Corbin, James Corbin, Alisha Corbin, Eric Corbin; twenty-six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her husband of 19 years, Joseph G. Corbin, Liz was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Corbin in 2008 and James Corbin in 2005; a grandson, Tyler Alfred in 2015; a granddaughter, Amber Lunsford in 2016; two sisters, Lillian Jacobs and Sally Adams; four brothers, Albert Richmond, Kenneth Richmond, Dewey Richmond, and James Richmond.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Lovett officiating. Burial will follow in Everton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the funeral home.
