James Revalee

James Revalee, 70, of Connersville passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 7, 2018, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.

One of two sons of the late Ernest and Helen Wesseler Revalee, James was born in Fayette County, Ind., on June 23, 1947. He graduated from Connersville High School with the class of 1965 and from Marian College in 1969 with a degree in biology. He later went on to receive his Masters Degree in Education from Ball State University.

On Aug. 18, 1973, James married the former Judy Weaver in St. Gabriel Church, Connersville. Mrs. Revalee survives.

James was a school teacher at St. Matthews School in Indianapolis for two years and St. Gabriel School in Connersville for 26 years. He also was the office manager for Whitewater Valley Railroad for five years.

In his leisure time, James enjoyed collecting fossils, rocks, and minerals, watching Connersville Spartan and Indiana University Basketball, and listening to Bob Dylan.

Besides his wife of 44 years, Judy Revalee, survivors include two daughters, Joanna Revalee and Ginny Revalee, both of Connersville; grandchildren, Wes Smith and Jillian Smith; a brother, Tom (Suzie) Revalee of Falmouth, Ind.; his dependable helper, Will Smith; and feline companion, Kat.

Family and friends may call from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Jeremy Williams will officiate.
