Fayette County School Corporation named Paula Shouse their teacher of the year, and the school board approved that nomination at their meeting on Tuesday.
Shouse has served as a teacher at Connersville High School since 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University in English, with Minors in Philosophy and Spanish and a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from Earlham College. Since joining the Fayette County School Corporation, Ms. Shouse has taught freshman English. Additionally, she has added grade 9 ES, Creative Writing, and W131, Reading, Writing, and Inquiry, which is a college-level, dual-credit course through Indiana University.
