March is National Nutrition Month. As you might guess, many people in the United States don’t eat a healthy diet. Healthy diets contain fruits, vegetables and whole grains to reduce risk for chronic diseases and improve health.

Eating foods high in saturation fat or that are high in added sugar increase risks for type 2 diabetes, obesity and heart disease. Emerging research also suggests that a healthy diet can help to improve brain health and reduce risk of brain decline.
