After re-appointing Terry Mitchum as the Police Chief for the Brookville Police Department members of the town board have made their reasoning behind their votes known.
Brookville Town Council member Curtis Ward of Ward 5 said at the meeting he felt the reappointment of Mitchum as police chief would set the city up for future litigation, and that he feared the city may be dropped by their insurance provider, disclosing they had already raised the city’s premium and had threatened to drop them already.
