Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby departs the Montgomery County Courthouse on the first day of sentencing in his sexual assault trial on September 24, 2018 in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

PHILADELPHIA — Two years after a trial that rendered Bill Cosby the first convicted celebrity of the #MeToo era, lawyers for the 83-year-old comedian will push the state’s highest court Tuesday to overturn outcome of the case, arguing it was marred by evidence that should never have been presented before a jury.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court plans to livestream the hearing, which Cosby, who remains incarcerated at a state prison in Montgomery County, will not attend, starting at 9:30 a.m.
