VJ-Day 1945 was one of the happiest days of the last century in the USA. Connersville celebrated victory over Japan along with the rest of the country.
1945 had been a year of many highs and lows. As the year began, things were looking very good in Europe. It started to become clear that Allied forces would be victorious at some point during the year.
