Community Foundation grant cycle opens

The Fayette Community Foundation is accepting letters of intent to apply for competitive grants.

The foundation provides grant funding for projects in community betterment, health and human services, and education. For guidelines on grant funding, go to the foundation website, fayettefoundation.com/grants/funding-areas/.

The first step in applying for a grant is to submit a letter of intent. Letters are being accepted until Nov. 22 for Cycle II competitive grants. Go to givetofcf.com under the grants tab to review all the information.

Anyone who intends to apply for a grant must attend an informational meeting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Brian’s Bistro and More, 408 Central Ave.

The letter of intent should be sent to Morgan Hamilton at mhamilton@givetofcf.com no later than noon Friday, Nov. 22. After receiving the letter of intent, the foundation will send a confirmation email. Grantseekers will receive another email by Nov. 25, stating if they can proceed in the application process or if they have been denied.

Final applications are due to Hamilton, mhamilton@givetofcf.com, by noon on Friday, Dec. 13. After reviewing the applications the foundation will schedule site visits with applicants.

Grantseekers will be notified if they will receive a grant by the third week of February 2020.
