Continuing education credits offered for attorneys

The Fayette Community Foundation is offering a three-hour continuing legal education seminar from 8-11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at the foundation office, 521 Central Ave. Registration closes at noon Friday.

The CLE will cover three hours of ethics. Cost is $20. Breakfast and snacks will be provided.

Attorney Philip Purcell will be teaching the seminar. He has spoken on topics related to law, ethics, nonprofit governance and philanthropy before national, regional and local conferences. His presentations qualify for continuing education credits for attorneys, accountants, financial planners, trust officers and life insurance professionals throughout the U.S.

Purcell received his B.A. degree from Wabash College (magna cum laude) and his J.D. and M.P.A. degree (with honors) from Indiana University.

Registration for the event can be done by calling the Community Foundation office, 765-827-9966 or sending an email to Anna Dungan at adungan@givetofcf.com. Registration must be received by noon Friday.
