Leaf pick-up starts at month-end

The city of Connersville will starting running its leaf pick-up machine on Monday, Oct. 28. Leaves should be raked to the edge of the street, not in ditches. The city is encouraging residents to put leaves in bags for pickup.

Leaf pickup continues until Nov. 22. Yard waste pickup will be on Mondays, Nov. 4 and 18.

The city compost site at 1000 S. State Road 121 is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8-11:30 a.m. Saturdays. Residents may take leaves and other biodegradeable yard waste there.

For information, call the street department, 765-825-1421.
