Online public school seeks enrollment

Indiana Connections Academy, an online public school, has reopened enrollment through Friday, Sept. 13. Families interested in enrolling in the full-time, tuition-free online school may visit the school’s website.

The school’s annual parent survey shows that families enroll in Indiana Connections Academy for a variety of reasons and to meet a variety of educational needs. Top reasons cited by parents who enrolled their children in the online school include flexible schedule, dissatisfaction with local public school, safe learning environment, to avoid bullying and more involvement with child’s/children’s learning.

Indiana Connections Academy students have access to elective courses including foreign languages, digital technology and career technical education courses, honors and AP courses, and online clubs ranging from robotics to art. Indiana Connections Academy also offers numerous field trips, Student Government, and an in-person prom and graduation ceremony for students.
