A new pastor is coming to the Connersville Bible Methodist Church.

The Rev. Randy Brown and his wife Tanya are coming to the church. They are replacing Phillip Mahoney and his wife Sharon, who started the church as the Early Methodist Chapel. Phillip Mahoney is retiring from the ministry after almost 60 years, including 30 years in pastoring.

“Eight years ago God laid it on our hearts to start the Early Methodist Chapel downtown Connersville IN,” Phillip Mahoney wrote on Facebook. “I had resigned the church I was pastoring but felt God had more for us to do among needy souls in Connersville. Connersville had several churches but there were still unchurched people that needed to come to Christ.”

The Bible Methodist connection of churches has accepted the local church as church extension work. Brown comes here with more than 20 years of pastoring inner city churches.

The church is located at 211 W. 6th St.
