Individuals listed in the arrest logs are considered innocent until proven guilty. The preliminary charges and bonds may be changed when a case goes to court.


Brandon M. Baker, 27, Liberty, was arrested Wednesday at Grand Avenue and West 28th Street on a charge of auto theft. Baker was lodged in the Fayette County Jail with no bond amount listed.

Matthew R. McQueen, 38, 1919 Ohio Ave., was arrested Wednesday at Iowa Avenue and West 21st Street by Connersville Police Sgt. Scott Shook on charges of residential entry, theft, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle and resisting law enforcement. McQueen was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $15,000 bond.


CPD reported one unwanted subject Wednesday.

Kelley C. O’Neal, 3316 Ostheimer Ave., reported Tuesday his scooter had been vandalized while on the lot at Jim’s Auto Body, 128 E. 10th St., CPD Officer Joe Becker said.

CPD Officer Josh Tudor reported Tuesday a customer at Walmart, 4200 Western Ave., said an older white male with gray hair, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds had asked their granddaughter if he could taker her to McDonald’s. 

Baylee N. Fohl, 2709 Highland Drive, reported Tuesday morning her Toyota Sequoia had been stolen from the property. Neighbors reported their vehicles had been entered also. Late Tuesday, the vehicle was located in a drainage ditch in the 2400 block of Elephant Hill Road. The detective division is continuing the investigation, Tudor said.

Randy Murray, 2802 Highland Drive, reported Tuesday his wife’s unlocked Honda Civic had been entered and a driving watch stolen, CPD Officer Matt Reed said.

CPD reported two juvenile issues, three unwanted subjects, three suspicious persons, five citizen assists, two verbal arguments, two vehicle identification number checks, one case of harassment, one battery and one fireworks call Tuesday.

Vernon Smith, 1301 W. 30th St., reported Monday his silver Ford F150 had been stolen, Becker said.

Jarred Barrows, 2225 Iowa Ave., reported Monday his silver Dodge Neon had been taken. The vehicle had some damage from hitting a deer, Becker said.

CPD reported one medical call, three citizen assists, one suspicious person, two citizen assists, one juvenile issue, two animal issues and on unwanted subject Monday.

Fire runs

Connersville Fire Department responded Wednesday to medical calls in the 2200 block of Ohio Avenue and the 700 block of South Fountain Street.

CFD responded Tuesday to a liquid spill in the 500 block of West 30th Street, trash fires in the 700 block of Vine Street and twice in the 1200 block of West 12th Street and to medical calls in the 700 block of West 10th Street, 1200 block of East 5th Street, 400 block of East 14th Street and the 800 block of Gregg Road.

CFD responded Monday to a vehicle accident at Western Avenue and West 30th Street and a medical call in the 700 block of West 10th Street.
