Flea market to help CHS band; sellers needed

By LEANA CHOATE - lchoate@newsexaminer.com

Connersville High School Band Boosters will host a flea market on Saturday, June 8, at the CHS football field parking lot to raise funds.

“All of the money raised will go to funding the band program,” Levi Thompson, CHS music and band instructor, said.

Anyone may purchase a space for a booth.

“It’s $20 for two parking spaces,” Jenny Messer, Band Boosters treasurer, said. “We’re not doing one parking space because that doesn’t give people enough room to set up their booths.”

If individuals and vendors need more space, they are welcomed to purchase more parking spaces if they need more room, Messer said.

Individual sellers and vendors will keep whatever money they make from their own space, Thompson said. The Band Boosters will get money from the purchase of booth spaces.

In addition, items can be dropped off the day of the flea market for the Band Boosters to sell, Thompson said.

Parking spaces are available for purchase and must be paid for before June 8. For information, call Messer 765-309-3296.

The Flea Market starts at 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Donations and drops off must be left at the Band Boosters table before 8 a.m. the morning of the flea market.
