Individuals listed in the arrest logs are considered innocent until proven guilty. The preliminary charges and bonds may be changed when a case goes to court.


Jerry L. Parker, 52, 213 1/2 W. 12th St., was arrested Friday at 518 W. 30th St. by Connersville Police Officer Kyle Miller on the charges of disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended. Parker was lodged in the Fayette County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bond.

Michael E. Brannon, 64, 2312 Virginia Ave., was arrested Thursday at that address by CPD Officer William Ammerman on the charge of public indecency. Brannon was lodged in the FCJ with no bond.

Kenneth D. Baldwin, 45, 4650 E. Everton Road, was arrested Thursday in the 900 block of Western Ave. by CPD Officer Marc Koons on the charge of possession of a syringe. Baldwin was lodged in the FCJ in lieu of $7,500 bond.


Connersville Police Department reported one alarm Friday.

CPD Officer Josh Tudor responded Friday to Speedway, 300 Central Ave., in reference to a counterfeit $100. Tudor spoke to the male who had paid with the counterfeit bill, and he said that he didn’t know the bill was counterfeit. He said that he was given the bill by a female who needed change because the gas station wouldn’t accept the bill for being too large. Tudor placed the bill into evidence, Tudor said.

CPD Officer Miller, CPD Lt. Kevin Perry, Fayette County Sheriff’s Department road deputy Sgt. Aaron McQueen and road deputy Dan Becker responded Thursday to a unwanted person at McDonald’s, 518 W. 30th St., who had thrown food back into the drive-thru window. A witness said Jerry Parker had thrown the food back into the window because he received the wrong order. Perry searched Parker, and found a small black canister the allegedly contained a substance that was field tested positive for methamphetamine. Parker said he had found the container next to the McDonald’s building. Perry’s K-9 indicated a drug in the vehicle. Officers found a small amount of what they believed to be marijuana. Police also found that Parker’s licenses were suspended. Parker was transported to the Fayette County Jail, Miller reported.

CPD Detective Dax Gunder responded Thursday to a call at a gas station where the clerk advised that a female had tried to pay with a counterfeit $20. The clerk said she knew where the woman lived. Gunder went there and spoke to the female, who said she didn’t know it was counterfeit. Investigation continues.

CPD reported one threatening, one overdose, two suspicious persons, two unwanted persons, two juvenile problems, one disturbing the peace, three welfare checks, one citizen assist, one theft, one harassment and one domestic problem.

Fire runs

Connersville Fire Department responded Friday to a medical call in the 1000 block of Beech St.

CFD responded Thursday to medical calls in the 1000 block of E. 17th St. and at the intersection of 8th St. and Maple St. and a car wreck at the intersection of W. 11th St and Western Ave.

Bentonville Volunteer Fire Department responded Wednesday to a medical call in the 1000 block of W. 21st St.
