Bicentennial group continues meeting

The Fayette County Bicentennial steering committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Whitewater Valley Arts Association, 402 Central Ave. Among discussion topics will be a call for volunteers for the celebration, May 16-19. It will take a small army to fully implement all the plans, Mike Sparks, co-chair, said.

The committee will meet at 5 p.m. today at the former Everton Bank building to see the township poster board displays.

Heritage House earns quality awards

Pinnacle Quality Insight, an independent surveyor specializing in long-term and post-acute care, has recognized American Senior Communities with 92 separate awards in customer experience. In Connersville, Heritage House Rehabilitation and Healthcare received 10 awards.

The awards are made in categories such as professional therapy services, activities, cleanliness, dining services, safety, and others.

Narconon offers free services

The nonprofit group Narconon offers help to drug users including advice and recovery services.

The U.S. Surgeon General has issued a statement for all communities to increase Narcan availability. APC, BZA cancelled

The regular meetings of the Fayette County Area Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals scheduled for Monday have been cancelled. Neither had business on the agenda. The next scheduled meetings will be Monday, April 8.
