Free lunch offered during spring break

Free lunch will be offered for anyone 18 or under during spring break in the Fayette County School Corp., March 25-29.

Lunch will be served from noon until 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at Grandview Elementary School, 2620 Iowa Ave. Adult meals will be available for $3.30. This is the lunch program’s eighth year.

Menus are listed.

Monday: Chicken patty, oven fries.

Tuesday: Bosco sticks, tossed salad.

Wednesday: Cheeseburger, seasoned broccoli.

Thursday: Corn dog, baby carrots.

Friday: Cheese pizza, celery.

Milk and chilled fruit will be available each day.

Blood drive will honor CHS student

Donations for medical-related expenses of Brooklan Phillips will be accepted during a blood drive from 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 1.

The blood drive, organized by Carolyn Martin, will be conducted in honor of Brooklan, a Connersville High School student who is battling a form of cancer, Ewing’s sarcoma.

Donations for Brooklan and her family may include food cards, gas cards and so on. Donations of board games, cards, crafts and other items will also be accepted for Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis.

The blood drive will be in the Peace Lutheran Church parking lot, 701 E. 3rd St.
