Church News

The Fayette County United Methodist Churches will have Lenten Services at 6:30 p.m. each Sunday of Lent. Pastors will discuss the Seven Last Words of Jesus. The first service will be Sunday at Eastside UMC, 1011 E. 5th St., with Grace UMC Pastor Tim Davis speaking. Special music will be provided by Alquina UMC.

Knights of Columbus: 921 Central Ave., will host fish dinners every Friday during Lent from 5-8 p.m. Adults meals are $10 and children under 10 are $4.

The Fayette County Ministerial Association is planning its annual Good Friday service at noon April 19. Details will be released soon.

Brianna’s Hope-A Better Life: meets in Connersville at CrossPointe Biker Church on Tuesdays; in Cambridge City at The River Assembly of God on Thursdays; and at Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church in Liberty on Tuesdays. Each meeting is 6:30-8 p.m.

BetterDayz Thru Jesus Christ: meets at 5 p.m. Mondays at Faith Christian School, 2635 Iowa Ave. Visit the Facebook page for more information. BetterDayz will celebrate five years of recovery ministry March 16 at PTC Ministries, 1892 W. Indiana 44, from 5-8 p.m. 4 Christ will lead worship followed by speaker Rodney Williams of Club Meth.

Anxiety and depression support group: 6:30 p.m. Mondays at Community Gospel Church fellowship hall, 250 Erie Ave.
