3v3 soccer tournament accepting registrations

Now is the time to sign up for the Nolan Kicks 4 Causes 3v3 soccer tournament.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, June 15 at River’s Edge Park in Connersville.

The registration fee before April 15 is only $75 per team. The cost after April 15 is $100 per team.

The tournament is for 3-man teams from ages U7 to high school, and all skill levels are welcome. This year there will also be a 5v5 Little Kickers division for players ages 3-6.

Union County looking to fill coaching vacancies

LIBERTY — The Union County School Corporation is currently accepting applications for the following positions:

n Assistant High School track and field coach

n Assistant Middle School track and field coach

n Middle School golf coach

Beat Cancer in 4 Quarters game

The annual Beat Cancer in 4 Quarters game, featuring the Connersville and Franklin County boys basketball teams, will be held on Friday, Feb. 15 at Franklin County High School.

Anyone interested in purchasing a shirt or hoodie for the game can do so at the Beat Cancer in 4 Quarters on-line store.

Connersville Parks Dept. announces sign-up dates

The Connersville Parks and Recreation Department has released a schedule of sign-up deadlines and fees for its sports programs.

• Spring soccer: ages 3-14, $25 per child, deadline March 15.

• T-ball: ages 3-6, $25 per child, deadline is April 5.

• Girls modified pitch softball: ages 10-up and 14-up, $25 per child, deadline April 5.

• Girls slow pitch softball: ages 18-up, $25 per, deadline April 5.

• Church league softball: ages 16-up, $180 per team, deadline May 17.

• Machine pitch softball: ages 10-up, 14-up, $25 per child, deadline Aug. 2.

• Fall soccer: ages 3-4, $25 per child, deadline is Aug. 16.

• Girls basketball: grades 1-6, $25 per child, deadline Sept. 27.

• Boys basketball; grades 1-6, $25 per child, deadline Dec. 6.

• Mixed league volleyball: ages 16-up, $250 per team, deadline Dec. 13.

• Church league basketball: ages 16-up, $175 per team, deadline Dec. 13.

• Indoor youth soccer: grades 3-5 and 6-8, $25 per child, deadline Dec. 27.
