Donation to Drug Court

The Fayette Community Foundation awardeda grant to the Fayette County Drug Court to allow Doug Rader, coordinator, to purchase work clothes other needed items for clients. Raderworks with the men and womenwho have been selected to participate in Drug Court. Judge Paul Freed established drug court in the fall of 2018. Rather than sending them through traditional prison, probation or work-release programs, the court sentences them to intensely supervised living, including keeping jobs and submitting to regular drug tests. The idea is to return people to productive, non-criminal, drug-free lives. Picturedat a check presentation are, from left, Anna Dungan, the foundation’s executive director; Freed and Rader.
