Why did you choose to be a part of the CHS ECHS Program? ECHS will save me money in college by helping me finish a whole yeaer while still in high school.

Some of the supports you have received as a member of the ECHS program: We have personal meetings to make sure we are on track to graduate.

How has ECHS has prepared you to be successful in college: ECHS has put me in college level classes that will help me prepare for the workload and responsibilities of college.

Advice you would like to share with current and future ECHS students: I would advise all students to take the harder classes now because of the preparation. Also, don’t procrastinate and take a study hall.

The Early College High School program offered at Connersville High School gives students a head start on completing college. ECHS is open to all students, but are tailored for first-generation college students, minorities, and socioeconomically disadvantaged students underrepresented in postsecondary education. These articles, provided by Michael Thompson, ECHS coordinator, will spotlight students enrolled in the program.
