Accidents

A Mazda Millenia driven by Brittany L. Nixon, 27, Richmond, swerved to miss a deer near 30th Street and Eby Drive and struck a utility pole Tuesday morning, according to Connersville Police Department Officer Scott Shook. Upon arrival, Shook said the vehicle was partially in the roadway.

Taylor J. Anthony, 50, driving a Ford Escort, and Julida Harris, 73, driving a Pontiac GTO, were involved in a collision at the intersection of 9th Street and Grand Avenue on Monday. CPD Officer Dean Rowland reported that Taylor stated he made a right turn onto 9th Street and struck Harris’s passenger side door and rear panel. No injuries reported.

Arrests

Robert A. Banks Jr., 28, 122 W. 2nd St., was arrested at his residence Tuesday by CPD Scott Phillips on a charge of methamphetamine. Banks was lodged in Fayette County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bond.

Kristen L. Bromer, 44, New Richmond, Ohio, was arrested Tuesday at FCJ by Jail Officer Donnie Sparks on a warrant charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bromer was lodged in FCJ in lieu of $10,000 bond.

John B. Meredith, 18, 1826 Vermont Ave., was arrested Monday at his residence by CPD Joe Becker on charges for domestic battery, strangulation, criminal confinement, false reporting or informing, and resisting law enforcement. Meredith was lodged in the FCJ in lieu of $30,000 bond.

Blotter

Village Pantry, 513 W. 3rd St., reported Tuesday that a car described as a white Pontiac Grand Prix hit the ice machine, then left the area, CPD Officer Matt Reed said.

CPD reported one welfare check Tuesday.

CPD was called to Yaryan Eye Center, 522 N. Eastern Ave., after a white 2004 Dodge Stratus was found in the parking lot Monday. The vehicle was towed away, Officer Scott Phillips said.

Savannah Cates, no address given, reported Monday to CPD that her debit card had been stolen or lost and used  in Indianapolis, Phillips said.

Yvonne F. Baker, 213 Hickory Drive, reported Monday that a package that was delivered to her home had been stolen, according to CPD Sgt. Brad Rockwell.

Charles Ratliff, no address given, reported Tuesday that overnight on Sunday, someone stole 5 gallons of gasoline, tools valued at $50, blanket and a pillow from his Chevy Blazer, CPD Officer Josh Tudor said.

Anastasia Davis, no address given, reported to the CPD that a $25 gift card delivered to her home had been stolen Monday, CPD Officer Josh Tudor said.

CPD reported one unwanted subject, one battery, three verbal arguments, one citizen assist and one vehicle identification check on Monday.

Fire runs

Connersville Fire Department responded Tuesday to medical calls in the 2800 block of North Grand Avenue, 2200 block of Vermont Avenue, 800 block of Scott Street.

CFD responded Monday to a medical call in the 3600 block of Western Avenue.
