New store provides home improvement supplies

By KATE THURSTON - kthurston@newsexaminer.com

A new downtown store caters to people who are remodeling or repairing their homes.

Home Improvement Warehouse, located at 505 Central Ave., is a brand-new business offering a variety of items to help complete home remodel projects.

Tara and Jordan Roberts, both natives of Connersville, opened the store. They had an open house for it last weekend.

“We are a family-owned business that offers items such as vanities, mirrors, medicine cabinets, toilets, curtains, blinds and more,” Tara Roberts said. “Our prices are going to beat any big box store price. We will have shipments delivered about every week so our inventory will constantly be changing.”

The couple chose to open the store in Connersville because this is where they have their roots.

“We wanted to contribute to the community and downtown,” Roberts said. “We wanted to open a store that could benefit the community and alleviate the drive out of town for items to complete a home improvement project.”

The store will offer many items from kitchen to bathroom fixtures.

“For example, we have walnut butcher blocks and kitchen cabinets in our store currently. But we do not take orders. So once the items sell, we can not guarantee that they will be back in stock. We keep an updated photo album on Facebook of current inventory.”

Other items in the store include vanities, toilets, mirrors, medicine cabinets, linen towers, blinds, curtains, backsplash tile, shower pans, shower inserts, and more.

The store is open Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and Sundays from 2-6 p.m. Weekday hours are by appointment and that can be set up by contacting 765-821-2039.
