Arrests

Melinda G. McFarland, 35, 2526 Virginia Ave., was arrested Thursday at 105 W. 35th St. by Connersville Police Officer Kyle Miller on charges of possession of a legend drug without a prescription, possession of a syringe and possession of methamphetamine. McFarland was lodged in the Fayette County Jail in lieu of $22,500 bond.

Danny E. Steele Jr., 39, 1702 Michigan Ave., was arrested Thursday at FCJ by Jail Cpl. Jabin Collins on a warrant charge of probation violation. Steele was lodged in FCJ with no bond.

Blotter

CPD reported one medical call, one alarm response and one threat Thursday.

Katherine Hughes, 7000 W. County Road 400-S., reported Wednesday that while parked at Offett’s Park a juvenile put items in her tailpipe, CPD Officer Marc Koons said.

An employee at IGA, 1508 Virginia Ave., reported Wednesday seeing a woman place items in her purse and leaving the store without paying. The woman got in truck that left, CPD Officer Craig Hamilton said.

Kassandra L. Lowhorn, 326 Beech St., reported Wednesday a white box truck turned too sharply and struck her vehicle while in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue. The truck left the area, CPD Officer Dean Rowland said.

A manager at Tractor Supply Store, 2202 Park Road, reported a man placed an item under his shirt and ran from the store to his truck, Miller said.

CPD reported one noise complaint, five citizen assists, two unwanted subjects, two medical calls, one animal problem, one welfare check, one alarm response, one verbal argument Wednesday.

Fire runs

Connersville Fire Department responded Thursday to a false alarm in the 900 block of Mount Street.

Bentonville Volunteer Fire Department responded Thursday to a medical call in the 2000 bloc of Substation Road.

CFD responded Wednesday to a medical call in the 2100 block of Whitewater Boulevard.
