Thirteen young women have signed on as candidates for the 2018 Fayette County Free Fair Queen contest. One will be crowned at the finale of the contest on Saturday, July 21.

The week leading up to the queen contest will include rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday. On the contest day, each candidate will have a private, in-person interview with three judges between 1:30-4:30 p.m. The contest will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Robert E. Wise Center for Performing Arts at Connersville High School.

The queen and her court will reign over the 116th Fayette County Free Fair, starting with pre-fair activities and then the fair parade on Sunday, July 29, continuing until Saturday, Aug. 4.
