Free Fair queen deadline is Friday

Sponsorship registrations are being accepted until Friday for the 2018 Fayette County Free Fair Queen contest.

Prospective sponsors may contact Mary Medler, contest coordinator, for information at 765-265-2442 or boiler91@comcast.net. Members of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority are coordinating the activity.

The queen contest will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21.

Farmers Market moving for two Saturdays

The Fayette County Farmers Market will move three blocks north for the next two weeks.

The Farmers Market will be located in the parking lot in the 700 block of Central Avenue, south of First United Methodist Church, on Saturdays, June 16 and June 23. It’s open from 8 a.m. to noon.

The market usually sets up at the courthouse parking lot in the 400 block of Central Avenue. That location is being used the next two weeks by the Whitewater Valley Railroad’s Thomas the Tank Engine.

Lynn & Friends set annual concert

The Lynn & Friends cast is preparing for the seventh annual free summer concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 1, in Richmond at First Presbyterian Church, 100 N. 10th St.

Sharing their talents are Rusty Ammerman, Ann Frost, Kim Giesting, Teresa Jackson, Brian Rodgers and concert host Lynn Kennedy. The cast will welcome guest accordion performer, Jack Bailey.

The ensemble will share music, sights and “Sounds of Faith and Freedom,” both new and traditional. This is the 24th season to share the unique Lynn & Friends programming.
