St. Paul Lutheran Church

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lyonsville on County Road 450-N. has served the community since 1843 with the Rev. H. Gruber as the first pastor. The Rev. Bill Peterson serves as pastor. The congregation meets for worship on the first and third Sundays at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. start time other Sundays.

Growing Branches for Christ Ministries, 3674 Western Ave., is hosting the Esthers In Today’s World conference Thursday and Friday, June 14 and 15, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 15, at 10:30 a.m. Diane Mullins will speak Thursday; Reva Kasey on Friday; and Vonda Bishop, Saturday. Former pastor Mike Sanders will return to Calvary Baptist Church, 309 W. 24th St., to speak at the 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. services Sunday.

Faith Builders Ministries will host its annual summer block party Saturday, June 23, from noon to 6 p.m. on West 8th Street and in the Urban-Winkler Funeral Home parking lot. Food, games, music are planned. John Humphries will give a message at 5 p.m. Tent revival meetings at Sycamore Street and 8th Street will follow Sunday-Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Alquina United Methodist Church will host a community worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 10, during Alquina Days. Events take place Saturday and Sunday.

Brianna’s Hope-A Better Life meets in Connersville at Crosspointe Biker Church on Tuesdays; in Cambridge City at The River Assembly of God on Thursdays; and at Edwards Memorial United Methodist Church in Liberty on Tuesdays. Each meeting is 6:30-8 p.m.
