Oil-painted animated movie will be shown

CAMBRIDGE CITY — Helen Hunt Club is hosting a special movie night at the Archive, 33 W. Main St., Cambridge City, at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14.

The club will show Loving Vincent, the world’s first feature-length, oil-painted animation, which reveals the life and controversial death of Vincent van Gogh as told by his paintings and by the characters that inhabit them.

The film features 120 of Vincent van Gogh’s paintings.

Pam Bliss, a local artist, and many others traveled to Poland and painted parts of the film. Bliss will be present to talk about how the movie was produced.

The public is invited to the free showing. After the movie is shown, the DVD will be in circulation at the Cambridge City Library for patrons to borrow.
