4-H Report

Jackson Hot Shots

The Jackson Hot Shots 4-H Club met Thursday, April 26h, at the Everton Community Building. The meeting was called to order by Ethan Jennings, vice president. The American Pledge was led by Hannah Delucio, and the 4-H pledge by Emma Jennings and Ethan Jennings. Group singing was Row, Row, Row Your Boat led by Eli Barger and Emma Jennings.

The secretary’s report was read by Skyler Cavins, and the treasurer’s report was read by Michael Paxson. Twenty-nine members present answered roll call to their favorite animal.

Lacy Downard gave a health and safety report on tornado safety. Demonstrations were given by Ellie Jennings on fine arts, Emma Jennings on leathercraft, Ethan Jennings on electric, Hollie Hoffman on photography, and Gideon Horning on junior leaders.

Community projects were discussed and included helping at the Lions Club chicken dinner, putting flags on graves at Everton Cemetery for Memorial Day weekend, watering raised garden beds at Everton Elementary School, and weeding and trash pickup around Everton Community Building.

Reminders were given about upcoming 4-H deadlines.

Recreation was led by Coby Delucio and Ty McMullen. Refreshments were provided by the Evans, Friend and Williamson families.

The next meeting was to be held Thursday, May 10, at the Everton Community Building.
