New Bible study group being planned

A new Bible study fellowship will start in September. An interest meeting for the group will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Peace Lutheran Church, 701 W. Third St.

The group would meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays as a global, interdenominational, in-depth Bible study for women, said Margie Yeager, organizer.

For information, contact Yeager at 765-825-8373 or send email to yeager308@yahoo.com.

Three downtown places on dinner tour

Three downtown locations will be visited during a progressive dinner on Saturday, May 19.

Discover Connersville is hosting a progressive dinner beginning with cocktails at 5 p.m. at the Whitewater Valley Arts Association, 402 Central Ave., followed by dinner at The Castle (formerly the Elks) at 7th and Eastern Avenue at 6 p.m. and ending with desserts at 7:30 p.m. in the new Fayette County Historical Museum, 500 W. 5th St.

The Progressive Dinner will showcase Discover Connersville and invite new participation from community members and business owners in the downtown.

Tickets cost $30 and are available at FCN Bank or Union Savings and Loan Association and from board members of Discover Connersville. Proceeds benefit downtown revitalization.
