Everton Water seeks income data

EVERTON — Everton Water Corp. is asking residents to complete an income survey to help the utility qualify for a Community Development Block Grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

If received, the block grant would be used to keep the cost down for a water improvement project, according to a letter sent to customers by Don Steinard, president.

To obtain CDBG funds, current information is needed about the income level of households being directly impacted by the project. The district has mailed surveys to those residents and is asking for the surveys to be completed and returned.

Residents are asked to indicate on the survey whether their income is above or below the amount indicated for a particular family size.

The Everton Water Corp. is using an independent, certified grant administration firm, Kenna Consulting LLC of Greenwood, to assist in the application process. The firm will see the responses and report only the data totals – not the specific information from any survey – as part of the grant application process.

For information about the survey, residents may call Beth Johnson of Kenna Consulting at 317-893-5516.

Everton Water Corporation’s office is at 5471 S. State Road 1, Connersville; phone 765-825-3412, or email, evertonwatercorp@hotmail.com.
