In November of 1925 Louis Armstrong recorded his first record, WSM radio premiered the Grand Ole Opry and “Silent Cal” Calvin Coolidge was in the White House.

In Alquina on Nov. 16, 1925, Carl Nutty was born and there was nothing silent about him. At well over 94 years old, he is full of stories and interesting anecdotes from the good ole days. He is well known locally and I can tell you he still talks, walks and drives fast.
